Personal Branding IS Attraction Marketing or Magnetic Sponsoring

What is Attraction Marketing? It’s Personal Branding! There have been a lot of so-called ‘gurus’ coming online the last couple of years pushing “Attraction Marketing” or “Magnetic Sponsoring” as some new thing. But really, it’s the same effective and successful sales technique that’s been used for decades – personal branding.Yup! What do you think the Avon Lady was doing back in the 1960s? How about door-to-door Watkins reps? Amway? The infamous door-to-door vacuum cleaner demonstrations? The good sales reps weren’t pushing their company’s brands and products. They were out there solving problems by way of personal branding. The successful reps weren’t pushy, in-your-face sales people. They took their time and gave their customer prospects time to get to know them.Attraction marketing, magnetic sponsoring, whatever new and improved spin you want to put on it, is personal branding. It’s all just a part of being able to get out there and brand yourself – not your company and its products. When you have a good personal branding strategy, you’re giving your prospects a chance to get to know you, you’re actually building brand loyalty at the same time. How does this help you?Chances are that whatever MLM or network marketing company you’re with has more than one product under its name. Just like the Avon Lady; there’s more to makeup than lipstick and perfume.

So building brand loyalty is the best marketing strategy you can use today to get ahead of the crowd and beat the big guys. Why? Because you want your customers coming back to YOU when they need accessories or refills of whatever the original product is they bought. That’s what “attraction marketing” or magnetic sponsoring is all about – personal branding.Personal Branding – Your Online Marketing Strategy It’s not easy going it alone out there. But it’s easier if you have something to work with, some products behind you to help you with your personal branding. You’ll want to find a company that specializes in helping network marketers promote their primary business by providing some free give-aways. For example, a good company will act as a tool to help you promote yourself as an authority to attract new network marketers into your primary network marketing program.Your Website or BlogWhen you’re setting up a website or blog to promote anything, you should be setting it up to promote You, what you’re about, why you’re in that particular program and why people should sign up with or buy from you and not someone else. You don’t want to try to compete with anyone else or any other products. You just set up a website and be You.Your content would then be talking about the problem you’re seeing and how your product can solve the problem. Here’s an example – say you’re in “Avon,” or “Watkins,” typical offline network marketing companies. Your blog could be all about makeup, bath and body products or household products; why it’s essential to keep your washer clean; why you need X product for your lawn, etc.And then your “call to action” or “sales pitch” as it used to be called a few decades ago, would be to watch a demo video and contact you personally for details. What you’re doing is building an “authority” website about why people should buy from you and not the other guy. What’s a Good Marketing Strategy to Get Noticed and Get Traffic to my Website?Aside from paid traffic, which is actually the fastest if you know what you’re doing, you just need to write a lot of good content using good keyword research. The big guys pay for huge commercial ads on TV, on the Internet, billboards, etc. So we “little people” have to laser target smaller audiences.People still Search for what they want, and that means Google, Bing, Yahoo!, etc. So we need to set up our own little funnels:

Keyword research and create content based on what your audience is looking for
Spread the content around in a lot of different ways – blog posts, video,Twitter posts, Facebook status updates on your business Fan page, not your personal profile page
Have an email Optin box on your blog

And when your visitors Optin to your blog, they’re looking for more information from you. So the only automated email they should ever get is a Welcome message. After that, keep your messages to your list on the light side, motivational, on topic and not “salesy.” Ask them what THEY want.Your blog needs to be about you, not your product. So ask them why or how they stopped by, listen to their answers and write your content to ‘solve their problems.’Remember, Amway, Herbalife, etc., the companies don’t interact with the customers, their reps do. And people are going to buy from People they know and trust. And the key to most of this is just focus! The network marketing industry will try your patience – Big Time – every day – until you hit a snowball. That is unless you have a huge bankroll to pay for traffic like the big guys do.
